Aviation
I grew up on US Airforce Bases as a kid. McClellan, Nellis, Tinker, and Kadena to name a few. One of my first favorite toys that I can remember was my toy airplane. That set in motion a life of desire to find myself in the skies.
I remember wanting to fly F-4 Phantoms in the US Navy. The F-4 to this day is my favorite fighter jet. But, I also remember always being one year out of being able to take Civil Air Patrol lessons at every base where we lived. And although I started in the early 2000s, family tragedies and responsibilities derailed my dream for over 20 years. Then, as luck has it, I simply said, NOW IS THE TIME!

I grinded hard for 2 solid months, and with the knowledge I already possessed, I finished my Private Pilot Lessons, passed my written and my checkride, and earned my PPL license. I am an FAA Licensed Pilot.

Oh, and I bought a Plane!!!
This is my 1966 Piper PA-24-260B Comanche also known as:
"PapaDeaux"
Since I've had it, I've replaced the Prop, Spinner, and Prop Governor, and am setting out to redo the interior leather, and various other restorative improvements. Aside for the love of flying anywhere and everywhere I want - within reason of course, this plane is for work.

June 10, 2024: KBCT (Boca Raton, FL) to KBIJ (Blakely, GA)
Danielle and I flew up to Blakely, Georgia for business. The ride up was uneventful. However, it was the ride back that was definitely full of adventure. Needing to leave quickly to avoid hazardous weather just miles away, we spent the last 2 hours dodging massive cloud formations and thunderstorms, only to touch down the very moment the weather caught up to us. We were then stuck in the plane while the MONSOONS washed over us. It was a pretty hilarious and fun time. Sadly, these storms will be with us for the next 10 days. I won't even be able to fly on my birthday.
The entire trip was very relaxing. The scenery was Amazing!
